Wednesday Oct. 5th

Cleveland passengers will meet their group at Cleveland's Amtrak Lakefront Station by 1:45 AM and
check their one piece of luggage (per person) at this time.
The parking lot at Cleveland Amtrak Station is unattended, so parking is at your own risk.

• Depart @ 05:22 AM Toledo Central Union Station.
• Arrive @ 8:45 AM Chicago Union Station.

Thursday Oct. 6th

• Arrive @ 03:29 PM Albuquerque, New Mexico.

After claiming all luggage, the group will be transferred from
Amtrak Albuquerque Station to the hotel.

Friday Oct 7th

Welcome to Albuquerque, and the 50th Anniversary of the Balloon Fiesta.
Our Balloon Fiesta day begins with an early afternoon sightseeing tour of
this high desert city and continues on to the Balloon Fiesta Park.
A short visit to the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum is included.
From the museum we will continue with the sightseeing tour before entering Balloon Fiesta Park
to be seated in the "Chasers Club", an open air patio next to the 80-acre balloon launch field.
This guaranteed seating area includes a hot food item and is the perfect place to watch the
evening's "Glowdeo" and Fireworks Show. Just before dusk the burners of special shaped balloons
are ignited to create a colorful showcase of dinosaurs, bumble bees, flowers, a stagecoach and
a cow jumping over the moon. You are free to walk among the tethered balloons and
are welcome to ask questions and meet the pilots. We depart the Fiesta Park site at
approximately 8:30 PM, returning to the hotel.

Saturday Oct 8th

WAKE UP! Our early morning departure (5:00 AM) from the hotel will have us returning to the
Balloon Fiesta Grounds to view the "Mass Ascension". Our guaranteed seating in the "Chasers Club"
will once again include a hot food item and provide the perfect place to see hundreds of
balloons launch in two remarkable waves. This display of color and sound is said to be
the most spectacular in all of aviation. We depart the launch filed at approximately 9:00 AM and
return via historic Route 66 to the hotel by 11:30 AM. The remainder of your day is free for you to
visit Old Town Albuquerque. This 300-year old historic center of Albuquerque features a
traditional Spanish central plaza of shops, restaurants and museums.

**NOTE Albuquerque is known for its large number of cloud free days that are prevalent during
the autumn season. However, weather conditions such as wind and rain, although infrequent,
may cause ballooning operations to be delayed or cancelled. Whatever the weather situation
happens to be, ground activities and entertainment at the Balloon Fiesta site will
continue to be available to all guests.

Sunday Oct 9th

We depart Albuquerque in the early afternoon by van/motorcoach and travel to
Santa Fe where hotel accommodations for three nights are confirmed at:

Monday-Tuesday Oct 10th & 11th

Free days to explore Santa Fe. Take a walking tour and see the Loretto Chapel with its miraculous
spiral staircase and the Palace of the Governors in the historic plaza, which marks the end of
the Santa Fe Trail. For those adventuresome travelers that enjoy wandering on their own,
car rentals are available and advance reservations are highly recommended.
Destinations that are within easy driving distance from Santa Fe are
Santuario de Chimayo, Taos and Bandelier National Monument.

Wednesday Oct 12th

Check-out of the hotel rooms by 9:00AM and be transferred to the Albuquerque,
New Mexico Amtrak Station.

**Note ~ Passengers that wish to join this tour will have the option of traveling by
roundtrip air to Albuquerque. Likewise, one-way travel by train and one-way travel by air
may also be selected. Please inquire about pricing and availability.

**Note ~ Meals on board Amtrak are included when bedroom or roomette
accommodations are purchased on that train. ("The Southwest Chief").

**Note ~ This tour will involve traveling to elevations of 7,000 ft.
Please consult your physician or a qualified health care provider concerning
any personal medical conditions that may occur as a
result of traveling to higher elevation areas. Wearing sunscreen and drinking plenty of water
will help combat the high altitude and dry desert conditions.

Cancellation Policy
The following fees apply when A to Z Travel Center receives a written notice of cancellation.
Greater than 89 days prior = 20% penalty per guest
* 89-45 days prior = 25% penalty per guest * 44 -21 days prior = 50% penalty per guest.

20 DAYS OR LESS = NO REFUND
